The Twilights Last Gleaming

For those left at home, it is never easy. And in this one nation, under God, war has divided families as never before. Joe Watson, following in his older brother's footsteps joined the army to fight to preserve the Union. James Roberts left his wife and children to contribute his service in the cause of freedom. Amos Smith joined the army with a sense of adventure. But the Confederate soldiers were also fighting for God, for country, for honor. Everything changed forever at a crossroads in Pennsylvania -- Gettysburg. Some would return home victorious, others, defeated, and for some...not at all. For Country. For Honor. Forever.

Dove Review

This DVD is sincerely made to honor the soldiers who have fought for our country’s freedom. It also is used as an analogy of Christ sacrificing himself for our freedom from sin. In the story a soldier gives his life for a fellow soldier. The scenery features a beautiful countryside and green foliage, not to mention the playing of a fiddle which adds a nice feel to this period piece on the Civil War. In the story James Roberts (Barry C. Robison) leaves his home and wife Linda (Anne Zimmerman) behind to fight for freedom.

There are a few non-graphic shootings in the movie. We award this film our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages. It honors the Lord and our freedom due to sacrifices made.
