“Hoovey” is a terrific movie about overcoming life’s difficulties and hardships. It is based on a true story. Hoovey (Cody Linley) is a high school basketball star. His talent takes him far at Olympia High School. But suddenly he begins having vision problems and headaches and in a shocking moment he passes out on the basketball court. His dad drives him to the hospital in a snowstorm and they go off into a ditch. Fortunately, three people come out of nowhere to help them. Hoovey learns he has a large brain tumor. He has an operation that saves his life but in undergoing surgery he faces the possibility of never playing basketball again.

Hoovey wants to play and his parents know that his passion is not to be denied. This is a heartwarming movie. “Hoovey” easily earns our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages. “Hoovey” is an inspiring and powerful movie.
