Three energetic girls are committed to horses and being fast friends. Stevie, Carole and Lisa form “The Saddle Club” as they come together with a commitment to take care of each other and be crazy about horses forever.
The girls and their fellow students are taken on an overnight camping trip with their horses. Lisa is a less experienced rider than the others, as well as a novice at Pine Hollow Stables. She faces the challenge of overprotective parents, fitting in, improving her skills as a rider, as well as the choice between doing right or doing what may win the friendship of the manipulative Veronica. Peer pressure both good and bad is a challenge for this newcomer. When Veronica makes the decision to ride solo on a trail, she finds herself alone, without her horse and threatened by a roaming pack of wild dogs. She calls out for help, hoping someone will find her before it is too late. Several of her fellow riding mates begin a search for her and soon find themselves in the midst of needing rescue and facing fear head on. Values such as friendship, commitment, hard work and loyalty even when undeserved are exhibited throughout this quality film. Horse lovers and their families will enjoy and be inspired by the adventure and foibles of the preteen “Saddle Club” girls and their friends. We are pleased to approve this film for all ages.
