The Saddle Club: Storm At Pine Hollow

Lisa takes a beautiful, but violent, foster horse named Storm to be rehabilitated at Pine Hollow. Storm has been abused and, having not responded to previous training, is scheduled to be put down. Stevie and Carol notice that Drew seems more than preoccupied with Pine Hollow operations, but are even more concerned that Lisa is heading for an emotional fall if efforts to re-train Storm are unsuccessful. When Stevie & Carol are cleaning up Drew's office they discover the source of his concern: bank loans are due and Pine Hollow is in deep financial straits. With the banker demanding payment, Red decides to sell the surrounding land and riding trails. The Saddle Club girls must help save Pine Hollow and the magnificent horse, Storm.

Dove Review

“Storm at Pine Hollow” continues the equine adventures of Lisa, Stevie and Carole in a tale set against the breathtaking Australian countryside. The girls love horses, Pine Hollow, and each other and fight for what matters when they are threatened by events beyond their control.

Lisa’s world is rocked when Storm, a magnificent but abused foster horse, comes to Pine Hollow. His pain becomes hers as she desperately races against time to save him from being put down. The farm is in danger of being sold when financial troubles threaten Pine Hollow, and the local banker confronts the owners with impending consequences if cash is not produced within a seemingly impossible time frame. Several times the girls defy the adults in their lives for what they perceive as the best way to solve a problem—finding disastrous results instead.

We see young teens and adults invest in a commitment to fight against all odds even when the task at hand appears insurmountable. The struggle to rebuild broken trust between both horse and human is a central theme throughout and brings unexpected outcomes to this story. We are happy to award this film the Dove Family Approved Seal for all ages as “The Saddle Club” girls work together to make a difference at Pine Hollow.
