Dove Review

Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy star in this charming Christmas classic. They live in Toyland with the “Old Woman who Lives in the Shoe.” Their fumbling antics, along with Mother Goose characters come to life, help defeat the villain Mr. Barnaby, who tries to marry Bo Peep and throw the old woman and children out of the shoe.

The comedy of Stanley and Ollie makes everyone laugh while watching “March of the Wooden Soldiers,” which was originally “Babes of Toyland.” This is a charming tale that the entire family will enjoy. It is a vintage movie that most older folks will remember; this version has been remastered in color and is sure to delight future generations as well. The audience will never have a dull moment when Laurel and Hardy come to the screen with their hilarious antics and the wonderful music. We award this classic with the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
