“The Corrie ten Boom Story” is a remarkable tale about a remarkable woman. Corrie, a Christian, helped her family shelter Jews from the Nazis by hiding them in their home. Corrie and her sister Betsy were imprisoned in a concentration camp for their actions. Later in life, Corrie wrote the famous book “The Hiding Place.” In one interesting scene in this animated feature, Corrie’s family practices turning mattresses over in case of a raid so that the mattresses won’t be found “warm.”
This animated feature chronicles Corrie’s life and how she ministered to many, yet had a few struggles with her faith when she saw those she loved taken away. Her sister tells Corrie while they are imprisoned that Corrie will be free before the end of the year. Fascinatingly, Corrie was freed on December 28, before the New Year.
This story of her tried and tested faith is inspiring and makes clear that with God there is always hope. In a scene near the end, a soldier who had been at the concentration camp with her asks Corrie to forgive him. We are pleased to present “The Corrie ten Boom Story” our “Faith-Friendly” Seal for ages twelve plus. It clearly shows the difference between the Nazis’ cruelty and God’s mercies.
