Heidi and Rolland Baker went to Mozambique after unrest and war had nearly ruined the country. Their powerful faith in God led them to this troubled region to help those in need and to spread the Word of God. Many people of all ages lived on the streets and even in dumps, and many children had been forced out of their homes by their parents. Heidi, Mama Heidi to most, has faced life-threatening dangers, but still she keeps her strong faith that God will provide what they need.

The Bakers have started schools, clinics, churches and community centers and faced many obstacles, but they have prevailed in meeting the challenges and teaching God’s Word. They continue to see miracles and help those in need, and in return those they have helped come back to help them and share the love that the Bakers have shown them.

Hundreds of children have called her Mama, along with her own children. This is a story of hardships, dreams, miracles and work done in the name of Jesus. We give it the Dove “Faith-Friendly” Seal for ages 12+.
