Dove Review

“Secrets of the Bible Code Revealed” will probe the the viewer to think and ask questions, such as, “Is this really possible? Does the Bible contain codes that speak to modern-day events, people, and even the future?” This fascinating documentary also shares opposing views from professors and theology experts.

Dr. Maya Bar-Hillel, a psychology professor at Hebrew University, calls the code idea “nonsense.” But others, such as Michael Drosnin, author of “The Bible Code,” state the Bible Code is, indeed, true and mathematics and science play a part in understanding it. He believes only God could have come up with a system so fantastic and, according to him, accurate. The film also shares various views of the Bible Code’s validity.

The documentary features quotes from famous leaders of America’s past, such as Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt, who both endorsed the power of scripture. Roosevelt said that a thorough understanding of the Bible was better than a college education. The film also includes a scene using computer software and the experts discuss how the codes are used and what they say. Did the Bible Code predict the assassination of future world leaders, such as John F. Kennedy? Did it predict the assassination of an Israeli leader? You will have to view the film to determine your own views, but this is a fascinating film, featuring paintings, experts, history and intrigue. We are pleased to award “Secrets of the Bible Code Revealed” our “Faith-Friendly” Seal for ages 12 and up.
