This wonderful series features host Jack Hanna, who has traveled the world to see many different animals. From his base camp at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio, each episode in this season (22 total) is a countdown of his special trips, and he talks about the many animals he saw, zoos he visited, and relationships he had with people who study and help preserve nature. He also talks about how to keep some species from extinction.
Jack always has many different facts to share about animals big and small, those on the verge of extinction, those in danger and even those that are protected. The viewer will be entertained and educated about nature. Whether Jack speaks about the ocean, the forest, the mountains, or the skies, he relays a lot of information, some comical, on his travels. He counts down the big cats around the world, the many creatures in Australia, and whales, dolphins and other mysterious creatures of the deep ocean. He also talks about rare species such as the white lion, the white spirit bear or the elusive Echidna bird. No matter where his adventures take him, they are always delightful and informative. We are very proud to award this volume of “Jack Hanna’s Wild Countdown” with the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
