Dove Review

Originally this movie was from Hallmark—who doesn’t love their movies? This is a story of Debbie, who, at the young age of 13, became a pop star. Now grown and not so popular on the charts anymore, she has spent her money and goes to stay with her sister in Youngstown, Ohio. There under her real name, she embarks on a different life path of teaching music to kids.

This story shows how sometimes you have to take a step back from the life you are used to and see what else you can do. It is an encouraging tale with some comical situations and a little romance injected throughout—just a wonderful family movie about change and commitment. We award the Dove Family-Approved Seal for all ages to “Summer of Dreams.”
