When Calls the Heart- Heart of Truth

From celebrated author Janette Oke (the Love Comes Softly series) comes a rigorous and romantic adventure as epic as the wide frontier. Erin Krakow (Army Wives), Daniel Lissing (Eye Candy), Jack Wagner (Melrose Place) and Lori Loughlin (Full House, 90210) star in "When Calls The Heart: Heart of Truth." Ray Wyatt, of the National Pacific Railroad, comes to town and tells Abigail that he wants to bring the railroad to Hope Valley. As Elizabeth and Jack coach the kids in baseball, Elizabeth struggles to help a young boy come to terms with an old injury. Superintendent Collins is leaving Hope Valley and offers a new job to Jack in the Northern Territories. At school, Elizabeth tries to get Robert to tell the truth about a bear. Bill catches Robert leaving town and finally gives Robert the push he needs to tell the truth.

Dove Review

“When Calls the Heart—Heart of Truth” includes episodes three and four of season four of this awesome family series! This is a warm and wonderful series that can be enjoyed by the entire family. In the first episode of this DVD, two Hope Valley adults coach the kids in a baseball game, Jack and Elizabeth (Daniel Lissing and Erin Krakow). The show features family values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Despite a few disagreements with the umpire (naturally) the characters keep it civil! A young kid who had played baseball but then had an accident (falling off a horse) gets a chance to play for an injured player now that he is recovered. Does he still have the skill to get a big hit during an important moment in the game?

In the next episode the theme is about telling the truth. Young Robert, in an effort to get little Opal to go back in to the classroom, tells her there is a bear outside, but it gets out of hand and soon everyone thinks Robert is a hero. He eventually decides to come clean. “The boy who cried wolf” is the famous myth that is used to illustrate the need to tell the truth.

We are delighted to award this DVD our Dove Family-Approved Seal for all ages. This entertaining series features wholesome values and spiritual truths, excellent acting and production values—a commendable series! Five Doves all the way!
