Walking with C.S. Lewis is a nicely constructed 10-episode look at the famous Christian author—his personal life, writing, and impact on the world. Professor Tony Ash speaks of his admiration of Lewis, the powerful impact he has made on Ash’s own life as he has studied Lewis’s works over the years. This series truly leads the viewer on a path to walk with C.S. Lewis and to learn more about the renowned writer, who created The Chronicles of Narnia.
It’s interesting to learn that Lewis wrote the Narnia books while still a bachelor as a middle-aged man. But the Narnia books continue to sell well to this day, and three of them have been made into major films. His creation of Aslan, a powerful lion that is a Christ-like figure, is one of his best. These episodes draw heavily from his books such as Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters, which mirror our earthly pain and suffering, including his own after the loss of his wife Joy. If you love C.S. Lewis and his ability to proficiently write in various literary genres, you will love this series. If you know little of C.S. Lewis, this series would be the perfect introduction. We are awarding it the Dove Seal for All Ages, while noting that young children may not find it interesting. C.S. Lewis lives on!
