Dove Review

Midway to Heaven is a movie about matters of the heart. Ned (Curt Doussett) is a 43-year-old widower. His wife, Kate (Melanie Nelson), is deceased; yet, she seems to appear and talk to him, reassuring him that he needs to get on with his life. Ned’s daughter Liz brings home a new boyfriend, but Ned is the typical dad. The new boyfriend seems to be too “perfect,” so something must be wrong with him! Liz encourages her father to notice Carol, an attractive and single woman, who lives nearby.

The movie is very scenic and beautifully filmed and focuses on the fact that our loved ones would always want what is best for us. We are pleased to award the film our Dove Seal for All Ages, while noting that young children might not enjoy it as much as children 8 and up. It’s a good story worth watching.
