Revive Us 2

Look around. Many would say our nation is in a downward spiral … and it’s only getting worse. But don’t tell that to Kirk Cameron—he believes an awakening has started! Filmed live at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., Revive Us 2 is a beautiful picture of what the church is all about.

Be inspired as you find hope and encouragement alongside Kirk and his friends—Alex and Stephen Kendrick, Ravi Zacharias, Joni Eareckson Tada, Dr. Ben Carson, Jennifer Rothschild, Trillia Newbell, Zach Williams, and more.

As Joni reminds us in Revive Us 2, “Needing Jesus desperately … that’s a great place to be.”

Dove Review

Revive Us 2, hosted by Kirk Cameron, is the 2017 follow-up to Revive Us that took place the year before. It follows an identical format of Christian worship, panel discussions, interviews, and a faith-filled message by Cameron that is produced by My Faith Votes, a nonprofit organization led by Mike Huckabee and Sealy Yates with a mission to inspire and motivate Jesus followers to vote.

This video is broadcast in theaters nationwide from the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., and showcases testimonials and discussions from the likes of wounded warrior Jason Redman; the filmmakers of War Room Alex and Stephen Kendrick; Ben Carson; Ravi Zacharias; and Joni Eareckson, among others. The tagline of this event is “A National Family Meeting,” and the purpose is to lay a foundation for the spiritual health of America. The presenters discuss issues of race, religion, politics, finances, and gender, and throughout this event, Cameron advances the idea that unity begins with the family and extends to the world. The common theme is that in order to incite cultural change, we need to understand how to be Christians in a world full of the unique issues we currently face. The unifying belief of the panel is that Jesus is the answer.

Captivating music and questions from the audience is accompanied by lively discussions. Cameron utilizes an orchestra to help demonstrate one point by first asking them to tune their instruments without guidance. This does not work well, so he interrupts and uses a tuning fork to give them a base note to follow, which of course, works nicely. Once they are all in tune, their collective sound blends together harmoniously, a metaphor for all Christians to be united and working toward the common goals of personal, familial, and national revival through Christ.

As the idea of unity increases, Cameron shows maps of how and where Christianity is advancing and waning. And the call for revival becomes a central proposition as Christians around the country are encouraged to connect through the production company’s website, develop local meetings where they can learn to be salt to others, and exercise love and unity in their local environment, growing what Cameron calls “a movement.”

Revive Us 2 was designed to feel like “a national family meeting,” and the passion and authenticity that Kirk Cameron and guests deliver conveys the spirit of its mission profoundly.

We are proud to aware this movie the Dove-Approved Seal for All Ages.
