Dove Review

The Wonderama Christmas Special is Wonderful! The host of the new series, broadcast exclusively on The Dove Channel, is the authentic and energetic David Osmond, who is as charming and kid friendly as his aunt and uncle Donny and Marie, and what a voice to boot! This 40 minute special clicks along at record pace and is over before you know it. In fact, I was a bit disappointed when it ended, as the entire show is high spirited and jam-packed with holiday festivities. The editing perfectly jumps from visual and informational bits about the upcoming series to live guests and Christmas performances, and a segment where David questions people in the streets. Wonderama Christmas is fun and lively and geared toward esteeming pre-teens, but appeals to younger and older as well, just like the original series.

The most fun part of watching this for me was the nostalgia I felt for the good-old days of variety shows like Donny and Marie, of which I was an avid viewer. This is nothing but innocent fun that leaves one feeling hopeful for good times ahead. This show is filled with verbal blessings by the host and others, and a solid sense of the importance of family as expressed throughout. What a joy to the world!

We are proud to award this show the Dove approved seal for all ages.
