Dove Review

Meet Lizzie. From a professional standpoint, she’s made herself one of the great motivational speakers of our time, as well as a successful author of several books. She is one of the embodiments of vulnerability, especially in a time where the prevalence of bullying has become all the more serious. As she says herself, the harm from bullying has taken shape in the cyberworld, threatening to become all the more inescapable. It is Lizzie’s spoken and written words that combat this.

Lizzie was born with a congenital disease preventing her from healthy weight gain and making her a target of bullying when she was a child.

Where she comes from and how she is to recover is an important aspect of the film. But A Brave Heart is so much more special that than. We really are asked to get to know Lizzie, learn of her warmth and her advocacy. The film also functions as a spotlight on the world of bullying, a battle which we tackle but have yet to conquer.

With some mature content to be aware of, Dove is proud to award A Brave Heart our approval for Ages 12+.
