Dove Review

Solid and sensitive performances all around help the viewer through this difficult subject matter. It always amazes me, first, how hurtful people can be toward one another; and second, how blind humans are to the destructive behavior of the person they marry – until after they are married. Do these abusive tendencies simply appear without warning, or do some people think they can change their intended once they have said their vows? But the film is not about divorced people. It focuses on a mother’s love and how persistence and love can heal mental wounds. Although it is sometimes difficult to view, this TV film shows that barriers between parent and child can be broken down with patience, discipline and love. The film gives us a hopeful ending.
