Dove Review

This is a classic Dan Haggerty clean cut all American family film. Jimmy Dobson is being raised by his sister Linda but she is never home because of school and work schedules. Jimmy hears the legend of the cave in the mountain, which tells that if you have a pure heart, the cave will lead you to another time. He is told this legend by an Indian named Charley, whom he befriends while he is playing with a bear cub at the circus. Jimmy feels bad for the bear because he is locked in a cage, and decides to take him up to the mountain and set him free. Jimmy gets to the cave and discovers how to go back in time, but the bear wanders off and doesn’t go with him.

Jimmy finds himself in the year 1841, and is helped by an Indian and Jerrimia, played by Dan Haggerty. Jimmy’s adventures continue when he brings Jerrimia back to his time to find the bear. They have a lot of fun, and get into all sorts of trouble in their quest to find the bear and bring him back to Jerrimia’s time. But all ends well for Jimmy, Jerrimia and the bear cub. Even Jimmy’s Indian friend Charley gets a fresh start. As true to Dan Haggerty’s form, this film is very clean and wholesome in its nature. This is something the entire family can sit down and watch together.
