Dumb and Dumberer

The prequel to the 1994 hit Dumb and Dumber tells the story of how Harry and Lloyd became friends as teenagers. This film, however, is missing the original stars, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. Harry (Derek Richardson), who has been home-schooled by his mother, finally goes to public school and on the first day runs into Lloyd (Eric Christian Olsen), the janitor’s son. The bumbling pair falls right into a scheme concocted by Principal Collins (Eugene Levy) and his dimwitted girlfriend Ms. Heller (Cheri Oteri). Harry and Lloyd are assigned to recruit fellow students for a “special needs” class so the school can qualify for a $100,000 grant, which Collins intends to use for his and Heller’s condo in Hawaii. School newspaper reporter Jessica (Rachel Nichols) foils the principal’s plan when she uncovers incriminating tape recordings and documents.

Dove Review

Because of the sexual innuendos and bad language, the smart thing to do is avoid Dumb and Dumberer.
