Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas

The legendary Arabian thief Sinbad (voice by Brad Pitt) is framed by the goddess Eres (Michelle Pfeiffer) in this animated adventure. He has 12 days to return the “Book of Peace,” or his childhood friend Proteus (Joseph Fiennes) will be killed. Proteus’ fiancée Marina (Catherine Zeta-Jones) accompanies Sinbad to ensure that he completes his task. While on the quest, filled with excitement and danger, Sinbad and the crew face mythical creatures sent by Eres to destroy them and the ship. Sinbad and Marina fall in love. The final test for Sinbad involves telling the truth, something with which he struggles.

Dove Review

Overall, Sinbad is an arrogant, selfish thief who is loyal to himself first. The problem with this PG-rated movie is that what Sinbad does so well is sin bad. Due to some mild sensuality, brief language and an emphasis on astrology and sorcery, Dove cannot recommend the film.
