One of the things I like most about this “Christy” story is her expressed anger with God, when a good friend dies of typhoid fever. The message is clear: it’s OK to be mad at God, He can handle it and you’re not going to be separated from His love as a result. The story is typical of the “Christy” TV series many people enjoyed in the past. When David tells people, at a funeral service, that the real waste in life is not death, but if we fail to love, he’s giving a message that will resonate with people of all ages. Feature Films For Families is to be commended again for continuing to provide solid, thoughtful films.
