Wonderland

Wonderland is a historical drama about the off-camera life of porn star John Holmes (Val Kilmer) and the events that led to the LA murders of druggies on Wonderland Drive in 1981. Holmes was married to but separated from Sharon Holmes (Lisa Kudrow), and he continued to go to her for help and love. But Holmes was living and sleeping with underage, strung-out girlfriend Dawn Schiller (Kate Bosworth) in an attempt to relive his past party life. He also was drawn into dealing drugs in order to pay off a debt to the drug mobsters. He gained access to people of influence in the LA underworld and delved deeper into the quagmire of illegal activity to keep out of jail and remain alive.

Dove Review

Wonderland is a dark, graphic film that explores morally barren elements and has no redeemable features or characters. The violence, sex and language is intense and disturbing.
