This is another really good film from Feature Films For Families. Jimmy has many obstacles to overcome: his business is shut down, and his mother is resistant to learning how to read. His attitude in handling these situations is excellent role modeling for children. The actors, though not well known, are all very believable in their portrayals: particularly the woman who is the “nosy neighbor.” Isn’t it great, in this day and age, to be able to pop in a video like this, and not have to wonder if there’s anything that might puncture in their child’s mind/spirit what the parent has been modeling for years.
