Animated Stories From the Bible: Daniel

Daniel was enslaved as a child by the Babylonians but maintained his faith in God through hard times. King Darius threw him into the lions’ den because he would not worship Darius’ idol. The King repented when he learned that God saved Daniel from the mouth of the lions and ordered all of his people to worship Daniel’s God, the one true God of the Hebrews.

Dove Review

This thirty-minute animated episode reveals how Daniel, as a child, was pressed into service by God and continues this his adulthood. One of the great things about this episode is that it also covers the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and lays out how a lot of Bible stories are interconnected. The animation is great and the story lines are portrayed in a way that are not scary to younger viewers.

There was no objectionable material in this episode. The story lines of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego being placed into the furnace and of Daniel in the Lion’s den is done so that it is not scary at all for younger viewers.
