Buddy, a boy in the throws of growing up, finds himself in trouble yet again for standing up for his beliefs. He gets a ten day suspension for posting a copy of the 10 commandments with “DO NOT KILL” in bold letters over an advertisement for abortion. He is also accused of being rude to a teacher. And, to make matters worse, when his dad gets home that night, they find out that he lost his job. Discussions begin because his mom wanted to home-school Buddy but his father thinks his “light” could shine better in the public school venue.
When a social worker (who doesn’t want home-schooling allowed for anyone) forces her way into their home, everything changes. Trumped up charges against the dad and pursuant accusations cause the family to move and a whole new world is opened up to them.
Although slow in some spots, this video is a wonderful display of family values. We award “Mysterious Ways” five doves.
