This is another great volume in the Bananas series. This DVD is filled with laughter as the comedians use real life examples from every day life to make the audience explode in hysterics. This volume features Jeff Allen in an edited skit as well as his first complete Bananas episode. Allen’s stories about his teenager son is highly effective as well as funny. Taylor Mason uses ventriloquism effectively in his act, and Ron Pearson proves to be an adept juggler as well as a glib comedian. Fred Travalena is very good at imitations of the famous, and Teresa Roberts Logan is funny as she talks about the problems of weight gain. Bob Stromberg finishes with a “shadow” skit, set against a replica moon, which is quite humorous. He becomes an ape, camel. and his own father in a skit which is sure to produce some chuckles.
As a bonus, “The Heart Behind The Comedy” speaks of Jeff Allen’s trials of the past and how that his walk with the Lord has enabled him to put a smile instead of anger into his comedy routines. The “Go Bananas” section also reveals that the producers wanted to produce comedy in a spiritual realm and their goal was for families to laugh together at clean humor. This feature, along with Jeff Allen’s complete episode, is well worth watching. We award this DVD five doves, the most we can award.
