Dove Review

In 1947 Max Fleischer created this animated movie of “Bugville.” Times were different and so was animation. This quaint feature film relays the story of the little insects, their community, and the hard times they go through. The bugs’ troubles are caused by humans who unknowingly destroy the little village.

Filled with adventure, comedy, drama and romance all rolled into a single story, this classic tale was appropriate for any age in its time and still is. Many lessons can be taught from this delightful animated cartoon of the ages. I must warn you that very young children might be frightened by a few scenes regarding a fire. Dove proudly awards this DVD the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal.
