Dove Review

This is a touching story for the holidays and in fact, any time. We learn that Mayor Dan Reed’s old nemesis in high school, Mitch Bright, is concealing a secret when he returns to Trapper Falls, Alaska. At first, he is seemingly a successful big time lawyer who is cranky about Christmas and wants to use the city government to take down the nativity scene on display and he even challenges Mayor Dan’s daughter while she publicly sings a Christmas song. In time, Dan learns that Mitch needs help in more ways than just getting over his anger toward Christmas and Christians.

This is a nicely made film with some good themes including forgiveness, loyalty, and standing up for one’s beliefs. We are more than pleased to award our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal to this movie. It is an inspiring film.
