“White Lion” is a story which takes place in Africa and is about the birth of a White Lion cub and its transition over the years from cub to full grown lion. The cub has to survive against the odds, including the loss of its brother and the impending stepping out on its own when the time arrives. It deals with other preying animals, a ring of fire which is ignited by a burst of lightning, and possibly its greatest challenge-man; in particular one man who has always dreamed of shooting down a white lion.
There are some brief violent moments in this film, which results in our approving this film for ages twelve plus. However, parents should consult the content listing below. Some children under twelve will be fine watching it but there are frightening images in a few scenes and we do not recommend it for young children. The scenery is breathtaking, the lions and animals at times playful and humorous, and this is a remarkable film which focuses on nature as much as the white lion.
