“Behind the Mask” is a powerful portrayal of the bond that develops between Dr. Shushan, Director of the Development Activities Center, and an employee, James Jones, who himself has issues coping with the world. James wants desperately to be a part of a family and to find his own father. As the mentoring begins, Dr. Shushan discovers things about his own problematic relationship with his son that eventually leads him to reconciliation.

While the actions and mannerisms that James exhibits are difficult to watch at times, they are profoundly moving. His simple but fervent faith helps him to grow and change his behavior in positive ways. The viewer should note that this is an edited version and some of the scenes contain partial vulgar phrases but the profanity has all been silenced or removed.
