Dove Review

This DVD pays respect to our black leaders over the years and also clearly reveals what many of them went through including African American citizens. A few graphic photos of various lynchings are seen, mostly briefly, and a re-enactment is seen in the dark. For this reason the DVD is the only one of the series of seven which we are recommending for ages twelve and above.

Black patriots who served with George Washington, Prince Whipple and Oliver Cramwell, are featured in a famous painting. The Dred Scott case is examined and also how different political parties handled these civil rights issues. How our American presidents reacted to these issues is also featured in the DVD. The historical facts are many and interesting.

We highly recommend this DVD as a great teaching tool and a permanent record of the civil rights issues and historical documents of our nation’s past. We are pleased to award it our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal.
