Relentless fighting, karate kicks, and non-stop action are served to viewers of “Power Rangers Season One” with the hope of entertaining those who feed on a frenzy of jumping, kicking, explosions and weak plots. The Power Rangers are ready to leap into action at a moment’s notice morphing from their brightly clad teenage selves into a whirl of activity defending and defeating a myriad of attackers in an assortment of shapes and sizes.
There is mild name calling in each episode and the violence is persistent at every turn. Most of the Power Ranger enemies are not human form and they generally explode into slime, metal parts or absorb into nothingness when attacked. The destruction and demise of all concerned are generally bloodless. A few mini-shorts are observed on female characters, but no sexual activity or offensive language appears throughout the season. The supernatural abilities of the Power Rangers come from sacred animal spirits that guide the rangers when they need extra power and quickly transform from “regular” Power Rangers into mighty animal robots with incredible strength and endurance.
Each episode features teamwork, friendship, ingenuity, high-flying gymnastic prowess and good triumphing over evil. The storyline is sure to be enjoyed by those who have enjoyed the antics and action of the Power Ranger clan when they were featured on TV and the big screen.
