Love and Penguins

Tilly, who works for a non-profit animal sanctuary, gets to lead the charge on the company’s next project: an Australian penguin sanctuary in dire need of some financial assistance. Alongside local head zoologist, Fletcher, they work together to help save the sanctuary, learning along the way that once you open your heart and stretch your wings, you may just find the one you want to waddle through life with.

Dove Review

**This review is contributed by Super Channel—a channel dedicated to providing integrity and accountability in today’s entertainment.

The beautiful original soundtrack, stunning panoramic Australian scenery, cutest little penguins, and Tilly and crew, welcome you to an awesome movie night at home, that will inspire you as you watch an intensely passionate group of people work to save the sanctuary that sparks a renewed compassion in the community.  Dove-approved for All Ages!

Tilly (Tammin Sursok) a Compliance and Outreach Manager for The Animal Discovery Institute, a non-profit animal rights organization headquartered in San Diego, is upset when in a few seconds, she is turned down for a dream assignment in Alaska.  But, just as quickly, a new opportunity to save the Australian blue penguin sanctuary in dire need of financial assistance, is awarded to her, and she is super excited! And even more so, when her sister Gemma (Madeleine West) decides to take a break and go with her!

The sanctuary manager, Kyle (Stuart Lumsden) is very stressed with the news that Head Office is sending someone to check up on them.  He and his husband, Parker, run the sanctuary and are very worried and afraid Tilly is there to shut them down. But her passion and determination to save the sanctuary makes an impact and they agree to her plan to appeal to the community…the very community that has waned its support over the years and now people only seem to care about their ocean views and the latest town gossip.

Head zoologist Dr. Fletcher Grant (Jason Wilder) is reluctant, but as he gets to know Tilly, he is fascinated by her strong belief in community spirit and that people are inherently good.  As they work together, little sparks are forming, and Tilly is loving being in Australia.  But when her boss offers her that dream job in Alaska, is she about to make the biggest mistake of her life?  Tilly is in tears… until Gemma steps in with a stark reality check!  Inspired by the penguin way of caring for each other, sharing responsibility,  and family bonding, Fletcher and Tilly open their hearts to each other and ultimately choose to “waddle” through a wonderful life together!

The Dove Take:

Passion and devotion will fuel and sustain you through the most difficult tasks and make good things happen. If we are powered by love, we can create happiness in our hearts, our homes, and our community.
