Dove Review

“Collide” is a rollicking, action-packed thriller with a twist—it focuses on a man’s love for his girlfriend and the risks he takes to pay for an operation she desperately needs. Nicholas Hoult plays Casey, who is athletic and has the luck of a cat— with more lives than one could expect for the average man. A drug lord’s thugs chase after him, pursuing him in cars with guns spitting bullets. In another twist, two drug lords desperately want him—the one he is working for in order to get the large cash amount he needs for his girlfriend’s operation, and the one who he is stealing his drugs from. They will stop at nothing to apprehend him. Anthony Hopkins and Ben Kingsley chew up the scenery as the kingpins of the drug world. Felicity Jones (“Star Wars: Rogue One”) plays the woman Casey is in love with, a beautiful woman named Juliette. And irony of ironies—she doesn’t want him to get involved with the whole drug affair.

This movie features close calls, exciting escapes, car crashes, plot twists, and a lot of energy. Due to the excessive content in a few areas, we can’t present it our Dove Seal. But the good news is—love has a real chance to win, and the criminals just might pay big time in this fast-paced, romantic movie.
