Little Bookworms features the gang of Bug Smart, and they are as funny and fun to watch as ever. Cosmo and Joe Croaker go at it when Cosmo, the determined fly that he is, wants to share some of Joe Croaker’s territory. But Joe is a stubborn frog and doesn’t want to give up an inch of his marsh territory. It appears Cosmo may gain an upper hand when Joe is literally shocked by a tree. What is causing this powerful current to zap Joe?
The challenge for Joe is that it happens more than once. When Cosmo is not shocked by the tree, Cosmo thinks it’s a magic tree! Cosmo believes it’s his guardian tree! We won’t ruin it for the viewer and say what happens, but a scientific reason is offered by Bartlebee, explaining this “shocking” tree. One of the neat things about this series is how it educates the viewer while the viewer is delighting in its funny plots and zany moments.
Other subplots include an insect teasing Joe and Joe’s attempts to leap into the air to catch him. Joe is always entertaining as a character. The group also encounters another tree–a laughing tree! What is up with that? We are pleased to present this wholesome movie our Dove seal for All Ages.
