Dove Review

Lil’ Fang is determined to win the 2019 Halloween Dance Competition, but he wants the help of his friends, Lil’ Stitches, Lil’ Boo, and the gang. He and his classmates form a dance club to practice after school for their chance to win.

Mischief Night– a celebrated holiday in their town– is the perfect chance for them to get together and tell scary stories and plot their victory.

The day of the competition, they are prepared– all except for Lil’ Stitches. He psyches himself out and doesn’t dance as well as he’d hoped. Lil’ Fang consoles his friend and reminds him that no one is perfect and that it’s okay to not always do everything perfectly.

This fun, quirky animated film shows kids the true value of working as a team and encouraging one another. Parents might want to watch out for baseline Halloween references regarding witches, “collecting souls”, and spells, but overall, this film wins our Dove-approval for All Ages.

The Dove Take:

This energetic Halloween cartoon has a few spooky features that parents should be aware of, but overall, the plot teaches children the value of teamwork and encouragement.
