Dove Review

This episode of the Old Testament series features Abraham, better known as the “father of many nations” and “man of faith,” focusing on the selflessness and sacrifices Abraham honored to keep his relationship with God at the forefront.

Though the episode leaves out more intense, sinful elements, such as Lot’s fate and the conception and birth of Ishmael, the script follows Scripture, never swaying from biblical truth. The storyline highlights Abraham’s faith as he lets Lot choose the best land, as he believes that Sarah will conceive, and as he ultimately prepares to sacrifice his son, honoring God’s love above all.

While a few rifts between herdsmen occur and Sarah lies in the face of God’s angels, the content of this film points to Christ’s truth, reminding us that faith in God is the pinnacle of our eternal hope. Due to this positive, strong truth, The Old Testament Scriptures: Man of Faith is Dove-approved for All Ages.
