This amazing set consists of three programs: “The Amazing Book”, “The Amazing Children” and “The Amazing Miracles”.
In the first program, “The Amazing Book”, your child will love this educational and fun sing-along film. This movie is animated with two mice and a beetle as your host. Other animated friends will join along to teach your child about the Bible. You will learn many things including but not limited to David and Goliath, the walls of Jericho, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fire and Daniel in the lion’s den. There is a song that will inspire your child to learn the books of the Bible and have fun doing it. Last but not least in this program you will see that many wise and great people of our time such as Isaac Newton and Abraham Lincoln have proclaimed the Bible as the greatest book ever.
I thought the cartoon characters were appropriate for child viewing. The movie seemed to keep moving at a good pace so that children will not become bored with it. There are a few acts of Biblical violence such as David facing Goliath, three men in a fire and Daniel in the lion’s den. These scenes are animated and nothing real bad is seen. I feel this would be a great movie for children under thirteen and very good for the whole family.
“The Amazing Children” is another program featured in this exclusive box set. In this film you will learn that all children are important. Young children will be inspired to see how and why they are so loved by us. They will be able to see amazing children of the Bible such as Samuel, Josiah the king of Israel at eight years old, Daniel, and Joseph who had dreams come true and was able to interpret them. Also you will learn about David who fought Goliath as a child and best of all about Jesus and his life. This film is geared towards children under 13. Three mice and a beetle will be your host in this animated production with other friends joining in along the way. The cat and mouse cartoons remind me of Tom and Jerry when I was young and will keep your children entertained. One of the best messages in this film is that the children are important to us and I believe they will feel much better about themselves after watching it.
In the final program, “The Amazing Miracles”, the DVD focuses on just that: the miracles of the Bible. You and your children will love this fun and educational sing-along film. This move, as the others, is animated with two mice and a beetle as host. As you travel along the road with these animated friends you and your children will learn about Moses parting the Red Sea, Joshua and the walls of Jericho, God stopping the sun for a day, Noah’s ark and the flood, Moses hitting the rock in the wilderness to get water, and many others.
This film is focused towards children thirteen and under for the most part but can be enjoyed by the whole family. It has a fast pace to keep children interested. They will be wondering what is next. One of the best parts of this film is at the end. A song will take you on a ride to see the miracles of today such as butterflies, rainbows, and even yourself as a miracle worthy to be loved.
