Insidious: Chapter 2

The famed horror team of director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell reunite with the original cast of Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins in Insidious Chapter 2, a terrifying sequel to the acclaimed horror film, which follows the haunted Lambert family as they seek to uncover the mysterious childhood secret that has left them dangerously connected to the spirit world.

Dove Review

Someone who likes jump scenes asked me after I viewed this film if there were some included. “You would be happy, there are plenty” I replied. Unfortunately, for those looking for a scary movie that families can share together, this isn’t it. There are some occult practices in it including a séance and strong language as well. From an artistic point of view, it has its suspenseful moments to be sure but at the same time it runs off in a lot of different directions including scary scenes happening in more than one house. Although the filmmakers attempted to bring the pieces of the puzzle together by the end, there are still some questions you as the viewer would like answered. And a bathroom break might make it near impossible to follow where the story is at.

At any rate, this one is scary but not family approved and cannot receive our Dove Seal.
