Dove Review

This modern retelling of the Biblical story of Joseph is well done. You have a character named Joe (Evan Schwalb) and Joe’s brother Denny and friends set him up with a fake letter and send him on his way to Las Vegas to meet Howard Hughes. They think he is different because of his Christian faith and they plan to get the best of him. Little do they realize that they are setting him up for success and that the favor of God is with Joey. It is Denny and friends who will need Joe’s help before long and, as Joey believes in forgiveness, they will experience first-hand God’s divine gift.

The meetings with Howard Hughes are some of the best scenes and this story will keep you watching to see how it all ends. It’s interesting to see Joey eat steak and eggs while his friends are certain he is not doing well and will be angry with them. We are pleased to award this DVD our Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages, although it is not intended for young children. This movie will make you think!
