This inspirational film is about the journey of growing up. Dani Fielding receives a baby mule as a pet and she decides to raise it and it becomes her friend.

C. Thomas Howell plays Mitch, Dani’s father, and he winds up in prison for the shady deals he has made. Dani has to live with her bachelor uncle, Sam. They are like oil and water in the beginning. He’s a veterinarian who speaks his mind and she gives it back to him. Her pampered life is traded for life in the country and it takes a while for her to adapt.

Dani winds up attempting to save her uncle and others following a plane crash and this attempt involves fighting off wolves, cold and the elements. The determined teen plans to make a difference in the lives of those who have suffered from the tragedy.
