“Christmas Ride” offers a unique twist on a Christmas story. A young woman named Keri (Brittney Ham) works it out with her neighbor Kevin (H.T. Altman) to drive her kids and herself to Georgia for her mother’s wedding. She and Kevin bicker a bit along the way, but she also opens up and tells him about losing her brother in a car accident years earlier when he was hit by a drunken driver. Kevin doesn’t open up as much, but tells her he served in the military and that he once killed a man, although it wasn’t in the service. This mysterious comment is later explained in the film.
They arrive at Keri’s mother’s home but Kevin leaves suddenly, heading off to see his daughter Nicole. Soon Keri receives a letter from Kevin and is hit with a piece of news that causes her great grief. Ultimately the grace of God and the ability to forgive others through Him is made real in this faith-based story. There is no question that this film was made to honor God and to show compassion to those who have lost loved ones due to drunk drivers. We are pleased to present “Christmas Ride” our “Faith-Friendly” Seal for ages twelve plus. This movie makes a powerful point: Forgiveness isn’t always easy, but it brings healing.
