Kathy has always wanted to ride horses, but because of an accident her father had while bronco riding, her mother will not allow it. Her father wants to send Kathy to camp so she can make friends and be more social. They don’t agree on which camp until Kathy finds a horse camp and so off she goes for the summer.

At the horse camp, Kathy makes a friend named Lisa. Lisa helps Kathy around the ranch, teaches her about friendship and helps Kathy with her makeup and dress. But Kathy repays Lisa by getting a “big head” and turning into a selfish person like those who had put Kathy down in the past.

This is a charming story about the beauty we all carry on the inside, and how that kind of beauty is more important than how we look on the outside or how popular we may be.
