Wolfy, the Incredible Secret

Wolfy is a charming tale of friendship and survival with spectacular hand-drawn animation, based on the wildly popular French children’s book series “LouLou.”

Wolfy is a wolf, Tom is a rabbit. Though they’re from opposite ends of the food chain, they’ve been inseparable since childhood. The orphaned Wolfy learns from a gypsy that his mother is still alive. The two friends set out to find her in the principality of Wolfenberg, the Land of the Wolves. Despite his fear of “the fanged ones,” Tom agrees to accompany his friend as they venture far from their peaceful countryside home. They arrive right in the middle of the Carne Festival, an annual gathering of the world’s most renowned carnivores. Who will survive and who will be the main dish du jour? What incredible secret lies behind Wolfy’s birth?

Dove Review

Two unlikely animals from the forest—Wolfy the wolf and Tom the rabbit—are friends that fish together and travel together. When a gypsy woman tells Wolfy that his mother is alive, the duo set out to find her. Off they go in a little red car to face the unknown in the city of Wolfenburg

Wolfy and Tom’s friendship is challenged in their new surroundings, especially when they are separated because they are different animals. But Tom never gives up helping his friend, even when Wolfy finds out that he is a prince in the wolf world. Once more they have to face evil to not only save themselves, but the whole animal kingdom as well.

This is a cute story that encourages true friendship and helping others. It is a one-of-a-kind tale, but due to some content we believe it may be too scary for younger children. That being said, we award the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages 12+.
