In the year 2310 a new sport, Gene-Fusion, is all the rage! In this exciting game specially-trained athletes, called Fusers, design their own super-creature by combining three forms of animal DNA. Four teens, seemingly plucked from obscurity, are trained to be Fusers. They become instant celebrities as they perform before sold-out crowds. But what they don’t know is that each of them has a role to play in an alien conspiracy to take over the world. Only through learning to work together as a team can these four young heroes take on the alien threat and save the planet from destruction.

Dove Review

Many in the younger generations are into video games. Here is an animated movie sure to catch their attention! The film is about four kids created with both human and alien DNA. There are also animals created with mixed genes. For example, a half ape/half zebra animal. Together, these beings are trained to be Fusion fighters.

Fans of video games will probably enjoy this movie, but I am not a fan. It is the story of a future where DNA from different sources are joined together. The alien character is evil and tells the four teens that he is their father. One of his followers says the alien is their “savior.” With lots of explosions, twists and turns, and good against evil, it does get the viewer’s attention.

This tale of the future is awarded the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for ages 12+.
