Dove Review

“More Than Dreams” is an inspirational film featuring five stories of Muslim men and women who experience meeting Jesus in a dream and, like Saul of Tarsus who became the Apostle Paul, they are never the same again.

In Dini’s story, we learn her father died of a heart attack when she was very young. Later, she learns he had been having an affair with her aunt, and both her mother and aunt are pregnant. Soon after her father’s death, she also learns that her mother plans to remarry, and Dini is angry with her. As a result, she sincerely prays to know God, and Jesus appears to her in a dream. She accepts him as her Lord and Savior, and her family disowns her. Nevertheless, she finds peace and is able to forgive her aunt and her mother. “He’s the God of love,” says Dini, and she remains happy that she found Christ. Another story deals with Khalil, a man of war, who follows Christ after Jesus appears to him in a dream. He asks his mother to forgive him for mistreating her. The next story is about Ali, a wife beater and alcoholic, but Christ changes his life, too.

Another man, Khosrow, lacks peace and battled depression, but he feels drawn to a church and eventually finds Christ. His depression is replaced with great joy. Finally, the film tells Mohammed’s story. When he sees Christ in a vision, his father takes him to a witch doctor to get rid of the images, but the witch doctor cannot help. Jesus continues to appear to Mohammed. His father calls him an infidel and rejects him, but eventually the two make peace and his father accepts Christ.

“More Than Dreams” is a powerful witnessing tool and shows what the Lord can do with a surrendered life. We are pleased to award it our Faith Friendly 12+ Seal. Don’t miss out on watching this powerful film — it could change your life, too.
