Rachel and her siblings are going to see their grandfather, who is a shepherd in the field. Along the way, her older siblings pick on her. When she arrives at her grandfather’s house, she learns that her grandfather understands being the youngest of the family, and he tells her the story of what happened to him.

Amos, Rachel’s grandfather, was with his father and brothers, along with other shepherds, on the night that the angel Gabriel came to tell them about the new King’s birth. Left behind to guard the sheep because he was the youngest, Amos gets some help and becomes the first to see the new King.
