“Lyfe’s Journey” is a dramatic and faith-based film that deserves to be watched! It features a very good story, solid direction, and excellent acting, particularly that of Keith Robinson who plays David Lyfe, a man who had everything but finds himself with nothing — all due to a very bad decision. He was a manager with a major bank, but when a merger takes place, he has to fly to L.A. to let various employees go, a job which he dislikes very much. He has to deal with sad faces, a crying woman, and other similar reactions. When he finishes the task, he learns he is finished, too, as he is dismissed despite the promise to the contrary. Feeling vulnerable and depressed, David spends an evening drinking at a bar. A young woman named Amy, whose husband is more interested in business than her, starts up a conversation with him. One more drink leads to another, and the next morning David wakes up to a note from Amy, thanking him for the wonderful night.
Feeling regret, David tries to move forward, but then Amy starts contacting him. She contacts him once too often and David’s wife, Tricia, overhears on the other end of the phone. She kicks David out, but with regret, as she still has feelings for him. They attempt to reconcile, but Tricia struggles to forgive him. On top of this, they not only have a daughter, but Tricia is pregnant with a son. David’s life continues to plunge downward. When he misses a job interview due to his car being repossessed, life doesn’t seem like it can get much worse. But then Pastor Richard Taylor comes into his life and shows him the love of Christ. Pastor Taylor emphasizes the need for faith, and David finally finds the faith he needs not only to follow God, but to pursue his family once more.
