Dove Review

Join narrator Rachel Reenstra as she visits the special people of the Busch Gardens Zoo and talks about how these doctors and other specialists take care of the animals. From big cats to hippos, giraffes to zebras, owls to flamingos, viper snakes to hedgehogs, all of these wild animals need special care. The doctors and specialists work to mend a horn, pull teeth and watch newborns of different species grow. Each episode is informational.

This fantastic series educates and entertains. It shows the viewer behind the scenes how the professionals keep all of the zoo’s creatures in good health. Just like humans, these animals get checkups, x-rays, and dental inspections. Some of these species are on the verge of extinction. These checkups help to prevent the loss of these amazing animals. The training staff also studies the different ways that humans build trust with the animals in order to help preserve the creatures of the world.

“The Wildlife Docs” features a large variety of tales about many of the animals at Busch Gardens and the people who take care of them. If you have never visited there, this documentary will pique your interest. We are proud to award this series the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages.
