“When Calls the Heart 4” features two more episodes from season three that the entire family will enjoy. This well-written, well-acted series features Mountie Jack investigating the sabotage of Lee’s sawmill. The apparent plot against it includes someone placing spikes in the wood being cut, which damages the saw. On the brink of ruin, Jack hasn’t much time left to find the person or persons responsible for attempting to put Lee out of business. On top of this, Becky arrives back home with the doctor, but although her prognosis is good, she’s in a wheelchair and doesn’t seem to have the motivation to try to get out of it and walk. Also, when Becky and Cody’s aunt arrives and declares her intention to take the kids with her when she leaves, Abigail and the children are all devastated.
Adding to the plot, Jack attempts to help a woman named Edith, who has a newborn son named Oliver. Edith’s missing husband is working in the coal mines and doesn’t believe he can help his family. Rosemary wants to land a role in the movie that is being made in Hope Valley, but accepting an offer that comes her way would mean eventually leaving Lee and Hope Valley.
This wonderful show features themes of devotion, loyalty and romance. It also teaches the lesson of following one’s heart. We are pleased to award it our Dove “Family-Approved’ Seal for all ages. “When Calls the Heart” is for hearts of all ages!
